Original Art Work for Sale
Man Eating Dog Food
This life sized, cast aluminum sculpture, has never been permanently located. Intended originally as a commentary on the plight of the elderly, Rich could find no retirement home interested in such a message. An attention grabbing piece that dogs bark at, it would be well suited as a business sidewalk display. Available for about the cost of creation, plus shipping, we offer this metal whimsy for $ 9,500
The Ten Bulls
Loosely based on the Shepard's ten stages to Zen, these cast aluminum figures are one of Rich's masterful sculptural stories. Each stage of Zen is approximately a cubic foot. Intended to sell as a set for display along a corridor, consideration may be given to disperse individually.
$ 35,000 for the set of ten, $ 4,000 each
The Cougar Hunter
This is the original cedar model (1.5 ft sq) used for carving the larger block of granite (6x6x6 ft. at left) that sits in front of the library on the Western Washington University campus. It tells a story of the reconciliation of the cougar hunter and the cougar spirits, with an empty jug of spirits behind them. Preserved in good condition, a sculpture to warm the home and heart. $ 1,200
Unknown
Cast aluminum, approx a cubic foot. Currently grilling the artist to understand what the story behind this is, a combination of horses and spirits. Details posted when available. $ 3,500
Silver Rings (and other lost wax castings)
In the late 60's, Rich made a series of silver rings, many with an erotic bent. They were shown in a small gallery around 17th and Madison where over half of them were promptly stolen. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of any of these rings, please contact me so that I can document them ... at a minimum. There will be no repercussions to the thieves/owners. Rich felt honored that someone would steal his art.
I am particularly wondering who has the Kracken pulling down the sailing ship?
